So this was Easter Sunday. We had quite the morning, as Max was sick. Thus the attire. Zoe sure looked cute in her Easter Sunday dress (from last year). She did not want a dress this year. She just wanted running shoes. So, that is what she got. I hope she likes them. Max got an outfit, but did not wear it. I will post pictures when he does wear it. Hope you all had a happy Easter!

This is is our Easter bunny house. The kids decorated it themselves. It turned out to be really a fun project. Thanks to Grandma Roslyn for sending it our way. It was nice of you! By the way, we saw a very large jack rabbit in our back yard that night. I tried to take a picture of it, but it did not turn out. I told the kids that the Easter bunny came to check out our house to see how to get in on Easter to fill their baskets. They thought that was great. Then, on Easter morning, after getting her basket, Zoe said, "I need to go tell that easter bunny thanks. Is he still outside?" It was very cute!

Cutest kids in the world!

So this week was not unique. We just did the normal stuff like go to the gym, school, work, etc. On Wednesday I took Zoe to play at McDonald's for breakfast. I had gotten a Diet Coke and as she was taking a drink she asked me if it was Diet Pepsi (my choice of beverage). I told her "no, It's Diet Coke". She asked why and I said that is what McDonalds has. She thought for a minute and then said, "Us dudes like Diet Pepsi, huh mom?" I thought this was funny and that I would share it with all of you. My kids always find the funniest things to say (at least I think so). Another day, I was combing her hair and she kept batting my hand away and saying she just wanted to "look like a dude"! Anyhow, I think she is definately a tom boy. She only will wear jeans or shorts and her running shirt and jacket. We tried to look at Easter dresses and she said "I can't want a dress. I just want new running shoes!" I guess she is a runner.
Max is doing really well. He is reading so well and is learning so much I cannot believe how smart he is getting. He is always giving me some kind of tidbit of information, like what a noun is and what a verb is, or spelling words for me. He will be starting pitching machine baseball next month and is really looking forward to that. He thinks he is really playing for the White Sox team. I will take some pictures for all to see.
Hope you are all doing well. We miss everyone. We are going to Utah on Conference weekend. I will also be running the Ogden Half Marathon if anyone is interested in joinin me! Love to all!

All About "Him"
So, Becky tagged me and I am trying to oblige. I hope you are not at all bored with this little exercise. As, most of you already know way more than you want to about Alex.

What is his name? Alexander Christian. I do call him Zan or Zannie most of the time though. He has also been called Big Al, Penny, Nick, Nikki, and most recently dubbed "the MG".

How long have you been married? 13 years.
How long did you date? almost 2 years.

How old is he? 36.
Who eats more? I must agree with Becky's answer, it totally depends on what is being served.
Who said, "I love you" first? I did. A most embarassing experience as he followed it up with a great big, "Thank you."
Who is taller? Alex, (not by much though).
Who can sing better? Me, obviously.

Who is smarter? ME - well, I think it is probably a tie. However, it depends greatly on the subject matter.

Who does the laundry? ME.
Who pays the bills? ME.
Who sleeps on the right side? Alex.
Who mows the lawn? Alex. I avoid yard work at all costs. I love to see a nicely manicured yard, I just do not like to be a part of it.
Who cooks dinner? ME, or we do takeout or eat cereal.
Who drives? Alex, I was born to be driven!

Who is more stubborn? Have you met me?
Who kissed who first? Alex. I even told him that at first kissing him was almost like kissing a brother. It was just that we were really good friends before we dated.
Who proposed? Alex, with a lot of pressure from me about getting on with it.
Who is more sensitive? ME, agian.
Who has more siblings? ME. I am the third of 6 - 3 boys, 3 girls. Alex is the second of 4 - 2 girls and 2 boys.
Who wears the pants? I'll say it again...have you met me?

Thats about it for me. I am tagging Emily Gillespie even though I already know a ton about her husband!

How cute are we! This is just another day in Great Falls, MT. We do not have any really good pictures of us so you will have to fall in love with candids taken by Max and Zoe. Hope all of you are well and are having a good time. I miss everyone tons and hope you are healthy and happy!

GREETINGS FROM...BIG SKY

Well it has been awhile since my last posting. We are doing great here in Montana. We just got back from a trip to Big Sky where the skiing is said to be fantastic. However, from the looks of these photos, you can decide for yourself. We took both kids skiing at the same time and it really was an adventure. What the pictures do not tell you is that we struggled greatly. Zoe (her first time on skis) had rubber legs, while Max was not up to the challenge of going it alone (without daddy's help). This left Mom (who is not good at all on skis) to help. Not such a good idea! We were rescued by none other than Alex's boss who was skiing with her husband. They were nice to help get Max down the mountain. Much to Alex's chagrin!

It seems like this time of year flies by. I feel like it was just summer and we were celebrating Zoe's 2nd birthday. However it is now Fall and the holiday season is upon us. This is our family at a Halloween party. We had such a good time this year. Our costumes need some work though. Perhaps we can come up with something better in the years to come.
